Home In Cologne

I was approached by a home owner wishing to sell his home himself. He wanted to create a grass-roots marketing campaign that advertised his home for him…

His goal was to create marketing materials that captured the charm of the home as well as relayed the important details about the property.

He wanted a web site with quality photography, a sleek, static design, and some creative marketing tools, as well as several print peices to distribute to potential buyers.

My Approach

Since the client was a bit of a wine connoisseur I chose a wine red and beige color scheme and added vine-like graphics.

The font and typography were chosen for their sharp, yet sophisticated results.

Web Design

The Home in Cologne site was created to provide an enjoyable look at the home, the community, and the history of the house. I used a simple navigation stucture with a simple, clean layout.

Interior Photography

The client wanted quality photographs of the interior of the home. Though an older home, much of the interior han been re-done, including new hardwood floors.

Perspective Matters

The challenge with interior photography is the angle of the shot. I shot wide-angle interior photographs and provided the color correction to bring the photos to life.

Print Solutions

8½" x 11" Flier

I created a glossy, full-color flier. It featured photos of the home, the main details, and the web address.

Business Card

The client asked me to also print a business card that could easily be carried and distributed by friends and family.

Hosting Solutions

This home was sold!

The site was hosted on Focus 44's web server using our basic hosting plan.
